Character: Amy Farrah Fowler

Amy Farrah Fowler came around in season two of the Big Bang Theory to change the show’s dynamics. At first, she was simply an online date for Sheldon Cooper but soon became a regular on the series. While Amy had a very particular personality that not everyone enjoyed, she managed to make Sheldon fall in love with her.

Before long, Amy also became best friends with Penny, nearly to the point of obsession, though the two finally figure each other out by the end. At the end of season 12, neurobiologist and Sheldon finally tied the knot, giving viewers what they truly wanted.
