Character: Howard Wolowitz

Howard Wolowitz is an aerospace engineer who constantly gets teased by his friends for not having a Ph.D. He also lives with his not-so-quiet mom until season six of the Big Bang Theory, when he decided to move in with his girlfriend, Bernadette.

Wolowitz and Bernadette eventually marry and have two little children together, but he never gets a doctorate. Still, he managed to become an astronaut more than halfway into the series, though that didn’t go exactly as he planned. You see, he earned the unwanted astronaut nickname “Froot Loops” after a fellow astronaut overheard Howard’s mom telling him that his Froot Loops were getting soggy!
