Steve Takes a Stand
Steve turned to the officers and said calmly, “If this bear wanted to maul people, it could have. It didn’t. It brought a wounded animal to the ER.” Hana added, “This isn’t random. It came looking for help.” Her voice cracked with urgency. The officers hesitated, radios buzzing faintly on their shoulders.
