Bonds Beyond Reason
One evening, as the sun dipped behind the trees, Hana sat alone by the enclosure. The pups had grown significantly, their fur now thick and dark, and their eyes sharper. The bear sat nearby, relaxed, breathing deeply. Hana pressed a hand to the fence and felt a surprising warmth flood her chest.
“You brought them to us,” she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. “And somehow… You knew.” The bear glanced over, ears twitching, then turned back to the pups. Hana didn’t move. She simply sat with them as stars began to peek through the branches. The wild had found its way to her and stayed.
