When Favell awoke, she actually found the hospital staff all around her, trying to put things in her face. “I remember still being groggy from the anesthetic as they wheeled me back to the ward, and excited hospital staff was shoving photos in front of me,” said Favell.

As it turns out, the hospital staff were putting pictures of the cyst in front of Favell! They simply could not believe that she had carried that much weight around in her for so long. Many of them were incredibly proud of her, while others told the young woman that they had never seen anything as interesting as that in the hospital before. Thanks to the cyst, she had become a minor celebrity!
