Getting Down and Dirty to Save the Calf

With the banana truck doing its job as a distraction, the villagers could finally put their rescue plan into action. But when they got closer, it was obvious the entrance to the hole was packed in with sand. Before anyone could even reach the calf, they had to clear it out.
Pretty quickly, they realized this was not a two or three person job, so they called in more villagers for backup. Then everyone jumped in, digging and hauling sand to open up a safe path to the trapped baby elephant. It was the strongest show of teamwork they had pulled off since this whole mess started. They were set on saving that calf, and with all those hands working together, they kept pushing forward, inch by inch, toward a successful rescue.
