Locked-In Focus

Most elephants would’ve made a beeline for the trucks and cleaned out the snack stash. But after hours of digging, and definitely running on an empty stomach, this cow still wouldn’t step away from her hole. The crowd threw everything they had at her, waving food around, calling to her, even trying a little gentle encouragement.

Nothing worked. She didn’t move an inch. Was she seriously going to keep digging until she wore herself out? It sounded wild, but one thing was obvious, this elephant was stubborn in the purest sense. Her single-minded determination had everyone confused and a little uneasy as they watched her dig on, with no sign of slowing down.
