When Snacks Don’t Work

The massive animal had been digging for hours, so the crowd assumed she’d be a breeze to tempt with the pile of tasty snacks they’d hauled in. They laid everything out like a little buffet and waited for her to catch the scent. Elephants aren’t exactly known for being fussy, right?

Then came the curveball, she didn’t move an inch. Instead of wandering over for a bite, she just kept digging like the food didn’t even exist. Something felt weird. How was she ignoring all that good stuff? The villagers stood there, scratching their heads, watching her stay locked in on that hole. They’d been expecting a full-on snack attack, but she clearly had something else on her mind. And just like that, the whole thing got even more confusing.
