Take a Deep Breath

The moment of truth had arrived, and Hadden and his crew felt prepared as they could to welcome this baby into the world. As the birth began, the firefighters were there to comfort the woman and remind her to breathe. Believe it or not, the delivery actually went fairly smoothly! It was a baby girl! Unfortunately, as Hadden took the baby into his arms, he went from helping one damsel in distress to worrying about both.

“She struggled from the minute she was put in my hands…” Hadden recalled. Desperate to make sure the baby survived, he gave her direct oxygen. Thankfully, just when they thought all hope was lost, the baby let out her first cry. “It was amazing to hear her cry,” Hadden later said.
