Triangle Symbol of Unity
The University of Virginia women pose in their graduation togas, beaming bright smiles. The two in the middle form a triangle shape with their index fingers and thumbs. One of the university’s cherished graduation traditions includes walking the lawn, a symbolic journey for graduates. The triangle symbol they form represents unity and strength.
It also represents the architectural design of the university’s famous Rotunda, inspired by Thomas Jefferson. These cheerful graduates embody the spirit of UVA’s rich history and academic excellence. Their joyous expressions, body language, and meaningful gestures highlight the significance of their academic accomplishments and the strong community bonds they have forged for years.
