Robin Williams and Ilya Ilich Mechnikov

Believe it or not, Robin William’s doppelganger, Ilya Ilich Mechnikov, was also a renowned Russian zoologist and Nobel Prize winner. What’s more, William’s resemblance to Metchnikoff makes us wonder if there really is such a thing as reincarnation! Regardless of our opinion on the matter, it’s pretty obvious that the two look like twins!

Maybe the legendary actor was subconsciously channeling the intelligence of the Russian zoologist when he portrayed several intelligent characters throughout his iconic acting career. Some of those characters include Patch Adams and maybe even his character of Professor Philp Brainard in Flubber!
