Orlando Bloom and Nicolae Grigorescu

From their starkly chiseled facial features to their wavy hair, there’s a definite resemblance between 17th-century artist Nicolae Grigorescu and actor Orlando Bloom. In case you don’t know, Grigorescu, a Romanian artist, is best known for founding modern Romanian painting with his sweeping landscapes. In these landscapes, he painted everything from depictions of war heroes to ox carts moseying down country roads.

Meanwhile, Bloom has elected to pursue an artistic career in film. Of course, he became a household name in hit fantasy films like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. However, Bloom has also dabbled into painting! In fact, he even posted an Instagram picture of himself next to an abstract painting he finished in 2017.
