Anticipation in the Air
On the vet visit day, the family anxiously accompanied Nyx, expecting a typical check-up. Alex held his leash while waiting in the lobby. “He seems nervous,” Emma whispered, watching the dog’s ears twitch at every slight sound. Mrs. Johnson tried to stay optimistic, saying, “It’s only a routine check-up, no need to worry.”
Despite her words, tension filled the air. As they entered the clinic, Nyx’s muscles were tight, his brown eyes darting around. “Easy, boy,” Mr. Johnson said softly, trying to calm him. The receptionist complimented the pup, but his alertness never wavered. Ethan glanced at his parents, “Do you think he knows something?”
