Just at the announcement, everyone knew that pop star Celion Dion’s wedding to her manager, Rene Angelil, would become one of the biggest celebrity weddings of all time. The two married in one of the most beautiful locations on Earth, Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, on December 17, 1994. Of course, when Dion made her big entrance wearing ball gown with a 20-foot train, she did not disappoint!
Designed by Mirella and Steve Gentile, the wedding dress featured a sweetheart neckline, a fitted waist, a full skirt, and, of course, long sleeves, a staple of ’80s and ’90s wedding dresses. To flare up the entire look Dion also wore a memorable headpiece embellished with 2,000 Austrian crystals.
