Famous singer Connie Francis became a household name in the late ’50s and early ’60s, thanks to her smooth pop hits. Her debut single, “Who’s Sorry Now?,” premiered in 1958, on the hit show Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. Just six months later, Francis had sold over a million copies, and the rest was history! However, like so many other stars, she did not stop there. After conquering the music charts, Francis also started acting, starring in movies like Jamboree and Where the Boys Are.

Today, Francis lives happily in Florida, after retiring from performing in 2000. “I no longer do concerts because I just can’t sing as well as I used to,” she said in an interview. “I would never want to disappoint the fans who have been so good to me throughout my life.”
