Barbara Mandrell – 72-Years-Old, $45 Million Net Worth

For non-country music fans, singer Barbara Mandrell became a country superstar in the 70s and 80s thanks to hits like “Sleeping Single in a Double Bed.” She also became a music legend for her ability to play a wide range of instruments, including the saxophone, banjo, pedal steel, and lap steel guitars. In 1969, Mandrell received her first contract from Columbia Records, and the rest is history.
Unfortunately, a terrible car accident in 1984 set Mandrell’s career back considerably, and she never fully recovered. In October 1997, the singer announced her retirement from recording and performing. Today, Mandrell does the rare one-off show every now and again, but spends most of her time “gardening, painting, and caring for her family and many pets,” according to her website.
