It’s fair to say that the medical world is pretty divided when it comes to the Paleo diet. According to most medical experts, like all diets, the Paleo diet comes with a variety of pros and cons. You see, many experts believe that eating natural food is much healthier than the processed food we eat in modern times. Not only that, but cavemen also ate significantly more fiber, but also protein, omega 3 fatty acids, unsaturated fat, and more vitamins and minerals than the average American.
However, the Paleo diet also cuts out the likes of fat and sodium, which while bad in large quantities, are also needed for some essential processes. Not only that, but it’s also been confirmed that these cavemen were prone to have hardened arteries, which can result in problems later in life.
