As Mueller swam closer to the mystery object, she took a short break. Through all the amazement, the diver had forgotten to ready her camera! After a few seconds, though, Mueller was prepared to snap pictures of whatever she found at the bottom of the Pacific and continued swimming. As she did, she could hear herself breathing heavily through the scuba gear, audibly excited about her new find…
As Mueller arrived at the object, she noticed that the metal parts were not completely blank. Instead, they seemed to have some colorful emblems painted on them. The young photographer had no idea that she was on the verge of one of the greatest underwater discoveries of all time!
