Pristine Conditions

As Mueller continued taking photos and finding more planes, she noticed something interesting. Despite the rust and barnacles, the planes were actually in pretty good condition. In fact, many were completely intact, with only minor scrapes and scratches on the bodies. There were no bullet holes, no twisted metal from a hot hail of bullets, and no deformed fuselages.
“They should have flown more, lived longer, but they were sunk in perfect condition,” Mueller told The Daily Mail. While she couldn’t figure out why anyone would dump perfectly good planes, Mueller loved how the sea life had utterly taken over of the airplanes. Judging by the sea life, these planes had been down here for some time. But just how long would surprise everyone, even the brightest historians…
