The Bass Family – $13.3 Billion

Back in the late 1950s, the oil tycoon Sid Richardson left his nephews Sid, Robert, Edward, and Lee $2.8 million each. Since then, the four brothers have been building on it, working with investing talent like Richard Rainwater and David Bonderman. What’s more, together, they control a massive private fortune worth $13.3 billion.
Furthermore, Robert, the richest of them all, started an investment company called Oak Hill back in the 1990s. As for now, the company has more than $35 billion in assets under management. Moreover, the four brothers received $5.6 billion in stock after they sold their oil company to ExxonMobil back in 2017.
