David James, Soccer Player – Bad Investments and Poor Spending Habits

As you probably already noticed, two things seem to break athletes’ bank accounts more than anything else: bad investments and luxurious lifestyles. Unfortunately, former England International goalkeeper David Jones suffered from both of these evils. In the end, he had to sell everything and get a normal job, just like the rest of us.
After an all-star career, James moved to India, where he began managing the Kerala Blasters. In the meantime, James had no other choice than to sell all of his possessions. His sale included a Walter Raleigh chopper, a three-door Vauxhall Astra van, 150 soccer shirts, and more than 1,000 music records. Ouch! That had to hurt – but at least it saved him from going broke!
