16. A Royal Embrace
Sometimes, the Royal Family members have spats, and sometimes those fights spill out into the public. However, its always been very clear that the Queen and Duchess Kate Middleton have nothing but love for one another. In fact, they regularly undertake public engagements together, even today!
This photo comes from one of those royal engagements, the Christmas Day service at Sandringham Estate, in 2013. There, Kate gave Her Majesty a very public and sweet kiss on the cheek before she departed with her husband. While it might not seem like a big deal to you or me to kiss your mother-in-law on the cheek on Christmas, the Royal Family is discouraged from even these displays of affection in public. However, the Queen let it slide, since it was Christmas.
