It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s A Cheerleader!

One part of cheerleading always seemed particularly terrifying: flying through the air. It requires so much trust! First, you need to trust that the person throwing you will do a good job. Then, the people catching you need to do well! That’s just a little too much trusting our bones to other people for our taste, but to each their own.

It does look as though this young lady is having some second thoughts to letting this throw happen. “Uh-oh,” she almost looks to be saying. Of course, this photo became quite famous after it was used as the basis for a viral meme competition on Reddit.
