Virgin Media is a major British telecommunications company, providing television, internet, and phone services. Formed in 2006 from the merger of NTL, Telewest, and Virgin Mobile UK, it became the first company in the UK to offer quad-play services (TV, broadband, phone, and mobile).
The company is known for its high-speed internet and extensive TV packages. This is probably why one person decided it is best to use the brand as an excuse, faking a call to Virgin Media for 10 minutes to cover up an accidental screen cast of adult content on the family TV, pretending to resolve a non-existent issue!
