Pushing Herself To Survive

Despite her will to survive and Sharp’s voice in her heart, Ashcraft soon found it hard to go on. After a couple of weeks on her own, she had very little strength left and even less food. Still, the islands were nowhere in sight.
Meanwhile, as the days and nights passed, Ashcraft’s mind turned to darker and darker thoughts. According to the woman, after more than two weeks on the sea alone, she wondered if she should survive. You see, Ashcraft started to feel that even if she did make it to Hawaii, no one would ever love her again, given what happened. Still, thankfully, somewhere deep down inside, the young woman knew it was only her mind playing tricks on her and pushed on.
