Waking Up In A Nightmare

In the late morning of October 14, 1983, Tami Oldham Ashcraft awoke to the sound of water splashing on the hull of the yacht. Given the day and time, the 23-year-old estimated she had been out for roughly 27 hours. Then, Ashcraft soon realized that she was utterly alone. Despite feeling incredibly grateful for surviving, the young woman found herself heartbroken and fighting the odds of survival.
Looking around at the devastated yacht, Ashcraft knew she would need to dig down deep to survive. Despite a grim outlook, the young woman refused to succumb to the darkness and quickly deduced her first step: look for anything useful amongst the wreckage.
