A Navy’s Life
In January, 2016, proud Navy sailor Chris Daugherty prepared to deploy overseas. While it wasn’t his first time going abroad, that didn’t make it any easier. It might have only been five months away from home, but five months away from his wife, Natasha Daugherty, and three children made it seem seven longer.
When the day of Officer Chris Daugherty’s deployment came, his entire family came to wish him goodbye as he embarked on the USS Vinson. On the ship, Chris would head to the Korean Peninsula waters where he would work as a Navy cryptologic technician. That means she spent most of his days deciphering codes and signals! However, he had no idea what was happening back home…
