A Wonderful Surprise

Chris Daugherty couldn’t believe that his wife had managed to keep her pregnancy from him! As he contemplated the news, tears welled in his eyes. “It was a pretty awesome confusion going on here,” Chris later said of that extraordinary moment. “I was looking at her, then poked it because I was not sure if she was playing a trick on me.”

Once Chris managed to recover from the initial shock, the couple proceeded to finally kiss and embrace. It was clear to everyone there that the young sailor was already bursting with emotion and pride.
