A Sailor’s Welcome
On June 23, 2017, Chris Daugherty’s family journey down to Downtown San Diego, where his ship had docked. As Chris disembarked the boat, he couldn’t help but burst into the biggest smile when he spotted his wife and children waiting for him. It was such a beautiful moment.
Clad in mini sailor outfits, the couple’s two daughters and son excitedly rushed to hug and kiss their father for the first time in eight long months. As his overjoyed kids jumped and swarmed their dad, Natasha held back, holding a big welcoming poster for her husband. However, Daugherty didn’t realize what the sign read until he walked a little closer…
