Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988) – The Red Rabbit

Disney raised some serious eyebrows when they released Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in 1988. Not only did it combine real-world characters and cartoon ones in a way never seen before. But it also included one of the most groundbreaking characters ever seen in a “children’s” film: Jessica Rabbit.
Once again, parents felt a bit uncomfortable during one scene where Jessica Rabbit runs away from the film’s villain, claiming the animators intended the movie for an older audience. We want to take a chance to remind everyone: it’s just a cartoon! Still, like The Little Mermaid, this did not stop Disney from trimming the scene a little in later VHS and DVD releases.
