Welcome to the World

In the early fall of 2000, with the help of a talented team of doctors and nurses, admit more emotions that Gina Crotts had ever felt before, the pregnant teen delivered a beautiful baby girl. Immediately, the young mother nicknamed the child her “little butterfly.”
“She was perfect in every way. I had four priceless days with her. ‘Be a good girl. Remember how much I love you. Remember my voice. Be a good girl,'” Crotts whispered into her tiny ear, before handing her off to her adoptive parents. Afterward, as the young mother watched the car pull away, she felt her heart break into a million pieces. “Its hollowness confirmed the emptiness I felt inside. That first night without her was unbearable,” she recalled.
