Unmasking the Grinch
Here’s another one from Emma Van-De-Peer. Here she’s in red and white stripes, with a strip of paper peeling away to reveal the green skin of the Grinch underneath. The Grinch is a beloved character from Dr. Seuss’s classic 1957 book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” He plans to ruin Christmas but eventually finds the true spirit of the holiday.
The character has appeared in various adaptations, including the iconic 1966 animated TV special, the 2000 live-action film starring Jim Carrey, and the 2018 animated movie with Benedict Cumberbatch. Emma’s artwork cleverly captures the Grinch’s transformation, symbolizing the reveal of one’s true nature beneath the surface.
