Russell Brand and Katy Perry – 1 Year Together

Forget whirlwind romances, Katy Perry and Russell Brand had a monsoon marriage! They met at the MTV VMAs and barely a year later, Russell was down on one knee in India, proving chivalry wasn’t dead (yet). The wedding was extravagant soon after.

But like a reality TV show with a shocking twist, their happily ever after lasted about as long as a commercial break. Fourteen months after the “I do’s,” it was “so long” as Katy filed for divorce. Though brief, their time together wasn’t without consequence. Katy’s hinted it helped shape her, and Russell… well, Russell probably just got some good stories out of it.
