Dianne Feinstein – San Francisco, $16.5 Million
Senators usually live comfortably, but Dianne Feinstein, a California powerhouse who left her mark on national politics for over 30 years, also had a pretty impressive home base in San Francisco. In 2006, she and her husband snagged a place in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood for a cool $16.5 million!
With sweeping views of the bay and enough space for a growing family (and, let’s face it, entertaining some serious political figures), the four-story mansion boasted five bedrooms, an elevator, and even a wine cellar. Dianne reportedly said they were drawn to the amazing view and the extra space for their grandkids. Not bad for a retirement home, right?
