Mike Vitar
Former child star Mike Vitar became a household name in one of the biggest sports movies of the ’90s, The Sandlot, as Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez. Afterward, he joined yet another smash hit sports franchise, The Mighty Ducks series. However, in 1997, after D3: The Mighty Ducks, he decided to leave Hollywood.
But that doesn’t mean Vitar’s not incredibly busy these days. You see, he became a firefighter, working for the L.A. Fire Department since 2002. That’s quite the career change! While the firefighter is busy as ever saving lives, he might return to the screen soon enough. Apparently, Disney is considering a Sandlot show with the original cast returning!
