Marley Shelton – The Sandlot

Sometimes, child stars remain most famous for their earliest roles. While actress Marley Shelton has starred in thrillers like Sin City, Scream 4, and Grindhouse as an adult, few can ever forget her start as Wendy Peffercorn in the ’90s hit The Sandlot. At the time, Shelton never thought the movie, let alone her role as the famous lifeguard, would stand the test of time.

“I’m shocked! Initially, people liked the movie but nobody thought it was going to have the legs that it did and become this cult classic,” Shelton, now 43, told Us Weekly in 2018. “I’m always so flattered when people recognize me from it because it was 25 years ago! I’m like, ‘Wow thanks, I’m glad you recognize me as Wendy Peffercorn!'”
