Ron Howard – The Andy Griffith Show

No questions asked, Ron Howard is one of Hollywood’s most famous directors. In fact, he’s become so famous behind the camera that few remember he’s a former child star. That’s right! In case you forgot, back in the 1960s, he took on the character of Opie Taylor on the Andy Griffith Show – at the age of just six, no less!
After working for many years as a child star, Howard decided to take a step back and got to high school and college. Since returning, he’s spent most of his time behind the camera, directing over 30 films, including A Beautiful Mind, for which he won the Best Director Oscar. Meanwhile, his daughters, actresses Bryce Dallas Howard and Paige Howard, have also found success as actors!
