Today, NBA star Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry are now one of the most famous couples in all of sports. However, back when they were both teenagers, and in their church’s youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina, together, no one knew who they were. While they never officially dated back then, they’d talk on the phone sometimes. “It was that shy middle school, high school stuff,” Ayesha said.

However, when Curry was flown out to LA for the ESPY Awards, he first thought of his childhood crush. The two met up, saw the sparks fly, and the rest is history. Today, he’s one of the most valuable basketball players in the game, while she’s turned herself into a brand. Ayesha wrote a cookbook, opened a barbecue restaurant, and hosts a cooking show called Ayesha’s Home Kitchen. Talk about a sports power couple!
