Anthony Hopkins and Abigail Hopkins

Not every Hollywood family has it as great another. Many know actor Sir Anthony Hopkins thanks to his incredible resume that includes the likes of Silence of the Lambs and The Elephant Man. However, many don’t know that he hasn’t spoken to his daughter, musician Abigail Hopkins, in years.

“People break up,” the 83-year-old actor explained to The Telegraph. “Families split and, you know, ‘Get on with your life.’ People make choices. I don’t care one way or the other.” When the writer told the famed actor his reply sounded “cold,” Anthony replied “Well, it is cold. Because life is cold.” Meanwhile, Abigail feels much the same. “There is a little bit of sadness, but I have to get on with my life,” she said recently. “It has always been like that.”
