Julius Caesar: The Bullet Bra

Released in 1953, Julius Caesar, starring Marlon Brando and James Mason, remains one of the greatest on the life of the most famous Roman emperor. However, Julius Caesar, like many films set in the Roman era, acts as though bullet bras were very common lingerie pieces in the area. However, this could not be further from the truth!

In fact, it would have actually been impossible for any of the women in 44 BC to own bullet bras. The Ohio-based company Perma-Lift invented bullet bras in 1941. In the 1950s, they became all the rage, likely leading to their inclusion in films like Julius Caesar!
