Glory: One Cool Watch

Starring some of the greatest Hollywood actors like Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman, and helmed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Edward Zwick, Glory earned well-deserved accolades when it debuted in the late ’80s. Critics praised the American Civil War film for its incredible cinematography, stellar cast, and emotional narrative. What they loved the most was how the creative team paid “enormous attention to period detail.” That’s quite ironic, considering at least one major wardrobe malfunction made it to the final cut!
One child, standing in the foreground of the scene, sticks his arm in the air as packs of his peers walk around him. Upon a closer look, he’s rocking a silver digital watch, a piece of technology that didn’t exist in 19th-century America. Big mistake!
