A Mysterious Ring

Around the drained Niagara Falls, things were quickly becoming quite dark and dire. In just a few days, the engineers would finish their job and restart the falls, washing away any potential evidence that remained hiding. Then, finally, the police found a possible clue: inside the woman’s ring, they found a hidden inscription. “Forget me not,” it read.

The police felt sure this could lead them to the ring’s maker. But it never did. Soon, it became a surreal, taunting message to the police. The ring wanted no one to forget the woman, but they simply could not determine her identity…
