All Hell Breaks Loose
The entire ordeal began two years earlier, on July 20, 2012. One moment, Burgoyne had been sailing to his summer home in Tahsis, British Columbia, enjoying a wonderful sailing trip. Then, as things can on the sea, things took a turn for the worst in just a heartbeat.
Everything seemed perfect at first, with the majority of the trip going without any complications. “I felt bliss when the ocean went calm, and I was sitting at the back of the boat all by myself and thinking, ‘What could be better than this?” Burgoyne recalled of the beginning his trip.
