Exploring the Wreck
As Mueller photographed and explored the wrecks, she began wondering more and more how the planes arrived in their watery graves. To her, it looked as though they came from World War II, the Korean War, or the Vietnam war? Still, no matter the war, how had they ended up here? It seemed strange that they all would have been shot down, so close to one another.
Meanwhile, something else stuck out to Mueller: there were no human remains in the planes, whatsoever. If they had been shot down, the woman expected to find something, anything. Back on the surface, Mueller would soon learn the incredible story behind the airplane graveyard. However, for the time being, she wanted to use the rest of her oxygen taking pictures!
