The Rescuers (1977)

Don’t remember The Rescuers? We don’t blame you. It was originally released as a double feature with A Tale of Two Critters, as Disney had such little faith in the film. However, it would ultimately make a massive splash on home video. Upon its original VHS release, viewers noticed something shocking in one of the background windows in a scene: a topless woman. That’s right!

The reveal led Disney to do a massive recall of the original The Rescuers VHS. While Disney admitted that the “images in The Rescuers were placed in the film during post-production, but she declined to say what they were or who placed them,” according to The Independent. Of course, today, the original VHS copies are collector’s items that go for thousands of dollars.
