In case you didn’t grow up in the 30s through 50s, wester star John Wayne wasn’t just a superstar, he was also a real-life hero for many fans. Over his decades in Hollywood, “The Duke” often portrayed hardworking, stoic men who always did the right thing. During his time in the spotlight, he also earned multiple Oscars, including one of the incredible True Grit.

Meanwhile, since his passing in 1979, Wayne’s grandson, Brendan Wayne, has continued to make his grandfather proud as an actor himself. Since starting back in the early 2000s, Brendan has worked hard to make a name for himself, starring in hit TV shows like Sons of Anarchy and Mandalorian, as well as action movies like Fast & Furious and Cowboy & Aliens. It seems like westerns are Brendan’s forte, just like his grandfather!
