Endurance in the Eye of the Storm
The situation spiraled fast, each encounter leaving me more rattled than the last. My gut screamed to call the manager, but the thought of reliving it all, with their smug smirks fixed on me, churned my stomach. What if it made things worse? What if they took it as a challenge to escalate further?
The dread felt crushing, yet staying silent seemed just as unbearable. Trapped between their cruelty and the fear of escalation, I gritted my teeth and chose to endure. Maybe if I held my ground, they’d tire out. But deep down, I knew better. They were having too much fun at this point.
