Believe it or not, actress Sharon Stone actually earned her start in Hollywood as a background extra in Woody Allen’s 1980 classic, Stardust Memories. Once Stone had a taste of being on-camera, she knew it was the life for her. However, it wasn’t until the ’90s that Stone became the icon that she remains today, thanks to the release of both Basic Instinct and Casino.

According to the actress, Stone prefers not to wear makeup when possible, only leaving the house with moisturizer on. “My mom was an Avon lady, and she gave me a jar of Avon Rich Moisture cream, and she said, ‘Put this on morning and night, and you’ll thank me for the rest of your life,” she told People Magazine. However, as a photographer snapped, Stone also likes to head to the salon sans makeup!
