If you find yourself asking, “whatever happened to Chevy Chase?” you’re not alone. The ’80s icon always had a charming rascal air about him, but he now looks like a completely different person 30 years on. Believe it or not, Chase was only on Saturday Night Live regularly for two years, rarely appearing since then, last in 2015 for its 40th anniversary. Still, as the creator of Weekend Update, Chase will always be an SNL legend.

However, these days, Chase is better known for his time on the sitcom Community. It’s there that Chase debuted his new “look.” Unfortunately, the actor was released from the show when he drunkenly called the shows creator, Dan Harmon, and scolded him via voicemail.
