The widow of legendary Apple founder Steve Jobs, Laurene Powell Jobs, inherited a fortune after Jobs passed away in October 2011. With a net worth of $20 billion, Powell Jobs is the richest female in Silicon Valley. The Emerson Collective founder said that she has dedicated her life to distributing Jobs’ fortune “effectively, in ways that lift up individuals and communities in a sustainable way.”
Back in 2004, Powell Jobs founder Emerson Collective, which focuses on education, immigration, and environmental issues, among other causes. What’s more, Powell Jobs has also invested in everything from sports teams (NBA’s Washington Wizards and NBA’s Washington Capitals) to a documentary film studio, Concordia Studio.
